Frequently Asked Questions

“The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) developed the original Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and today ensures that providers of continuing education and training can prove they provide high-quality instruction by following the ANSI/IACET 2018-1 Standard for Continuing Education and Training through a rigorous accreditation process.

The ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training  is a universal model for learning process excellence. It defines a proven model for developing effective and valuable continuing education and training (CE/T) programs by measuring a CE/T provider's training program from procedure to process to result.

Because the ANSI/IACET Standard focuses on how continuing education and training programs are developed, not what they cover, it provides a certifiable framework of researched and proven best practices that can be applied across disciplines and industries.” https://www.iacet.org/

It is the responsibility of the attendee to find out if a training organization, accrediting body or  school district will accept CEUs issued by The Literacy Nest®. *Those renewing certifications with CERI will be able to use their CEU certificates.

  • If you choose to purchase this option, there will be a short assignment to complete after each presentation by November 1, 2022. A certificate with 2 CEUs and 19.5 clock hours will be emailed to you on specific dates.
  • If you choose the general registration for a certificate of completion, there are no assignments given. A certificate of completion is downloaded at the end of the conference.

Yes, if you register and complete the CEU option, you will be able to apply 19.5 contact hours (2 CEUs) towards your CERI certification. The two KPS topics covered may be entered as:

1.8 - Know phases in the typical developmental progression of oral language, phoneme awareness, decoding skills, printed word recognition, spelling, reading fluency, reading comprehension, and written expression.

and
